About Sally

I am a qualified Advanced Hypnotherapist, accredited IEMT practitioner and Happiness Club trainer based in Maidstone, Kent. I work with organisations, schools and individuals to help people manage change, reduce stress and move past patterns that may be holding them back.

My work draws on approaches such as hypnotherapy, Integral Eye Movement Technique (IEMT) and conversational techniques when working one-to-one with individuals, alongside practical tools and strategies that can be used in everyday life. When working with organisations and schools, I focus on teaching simple tools, building consistent habits and sharing practical knowledge — underpinned by mindfulness — that people can use day to day. Whether working with teams, pupils or individuals, I help people understand how their thoughts and beliefs influence their experiences, and how small shifts can create meaningful and lasting change.

Why I Do This Work

Before moving into wellbeing and therapeutic work, I spent more than 20 years working in corporate environments including a global pharmaceutical company, a leading management consultancy and local government.

During this time I held a range of operational and leadership roles, managing teams, supporting senior leaders and overseeing projects, services and budgets. At different points in my career I was responsible for teams of up to 30–40 staff, recruitment, performance management and organisational change initiatives.

I often worked with people who were struggling and saw how the right support could help them rebuild confidence and realise their potential. These experiences shaped my belief that when people begin to believe in themselves and recognise their own value, they are capable of far more than they may initially realise.

After my corporate career, I spent a number of years working in roles that fitted around raising my family. During that time, I became closely involved with local schools — serving as a Parent Governor and working for over five years with Kent County Council as a Clerk to Governors, supporting several primary schools and school communities. This gave me a valuable insight into how schools operate and the pressures staff and leaders manage every day.

My final employed role was as a trained psychometric evaluator, helping companies and individuals with recruitment and development decisions. Being a psychometric evaluator strengthened my belief that people are influenced by the things that motivate or demotivate them, and that when people understand what makes them feel motivated, capable and fulfilled — and what has the opposite effect — they are better able to make positive changes in their lives.

It was during this time that I realised I wanted to take my experience in a different direction and create my own business. Alongside my wellbeing work today, I have also run my own business since 2017, giving me first-hand experience of the realities and responsibilities involved in running a business.

Discovering a Different Approach

My interest in wellbeing developed through my own personal journey. As a member of the Happiness Club, I was introduced to the idea of taking personal responsibility for how we think, respond and show up in the world.

Wanting to share these practical tools with others, I trained as a Happiness Club trainer in 2018. My interest in helping people create deeper change later led me to train in hypnotherapy, qualifying as an Advanced Hypnotherapist in 2022. I have since expanded my work by training in Integral Eye Movement Technique(IEMT) and Advanced Conversational Hypnosis (ACH).

Supporting People

Today I work with organisations schools and individuals.

As a Happiness Club trainer, I deliver resilience and emotional wellbeing programmes, alongside workshops and sessions I design and deliver through my own practice.

In schools I deliver the Emotional Management Programme, helping children and young people learn simple techniques to recognise and manage their emotions, build confidence and respond more positively to challenges.

Alongside this work, I also work one-to-one with clients using hypnotherapy, IEMT and conversational approaches to help people shift unhelpful beliefs, habits or emotional responses.

Professional Standards

I am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and the Association for Integral Eye Movement Technique(IEMT). I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check.

A Little More About Me

Outside of my work, I balance running my business with family life. I am a keen runner and regular Parkrunner, often found exploring the Kent countryside on long walks with my husband and our energetic sprocker spaniel.

I also enjoy baking and spending time with family and friends. Like many people, I balance work alongside family responsibilities, including supporting my elderly parents.
